KPMG Switzerland: New Head of Audit
Michael Blume succeeds Lukas Marty as Head of Audit, effective 1 October 2025
After more than 30 years with KPMG Switzerland and 15 years as a member of the Executive Board of Directors of KPMG AG, Lukas Marty decided to step down as Head of Audit. After 1 October 2025, Lukas Marty will continue to support the integration following the 2024 merger of KPMG Switzerland and KPMG UK.
Michael Blume will succeed Lukas Marty as Head of Audit and as member of the Executive Board of Directors of KPMG AG. Michael Blume brings nearly 30 years of experience leading audits of multinational and mid-sized groups across several industries. After starting his career with KPMG in the U.S., Michael, who is a Swiss licensed audit expert, has spent the majority of his career serving clients with headquarters in Switzerland.
His international experience and familiarity with the Swiss market paired with technical acumen and strong client-focused execution make him ideally positioned to continue to drive quality and carry forward the successful trajectory of the Swiss Audit practice. At the same time, this leadership transition ensures stability and continued excellence for KPMG’s clients and teams across Switzerland.
