      Our Milestones

       February 2017

      The preceding team, Digital 360, was launched within KPMG Consulting Co., Ltd.

       July 2018

      KPMG Ignition Tokyo was established as a hub for digital transformation and innovation. The Digital 360 team moved into the new facility.

       July 2019

      KPMG Ignition Tokyo was incorporated and began a new chapter as KPMG Ignition Tokyo, Inc.

       February 2020

      In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the company transitioned to a fully remote work model, accelerating flexible work styles and digital adoption.

       May 2020

      In collaboration with KPMG AZSA LLC, an automated validation tool for financial statement disclosures was developed and launched.

       May 2022

      The Disclosure Workspace platform for verifying financial disclosure documents was jointly developed and released with KPMG AZSA LLC.

       July 2022

      KPMG Advisory Lighthouse, Inc. evolved into an independent organization inheriting some functions from KPMG Ignition Tokyo Inc, to enhance advisory specialization.

       May 2023

      Former CEO Tim Denley was appointed as Global CTO of KPMG.

       August 2023

      Former Partner Tsuyoshi Moriya was appointed as Audit CTO of KPMG Japan.

       January 2024

      Released Chat KOMEI, a chatbot specialized in auditing and accounting for KPMG AZSA LLC, powered by generative AI technology.

       July 2024

      KPMG Ignition Tokyo celebrated their 5th anniversary.
