Education Quality Improvement Programme in Tanzania (EQUIP-Tanzania) was a four-year, £50 million, programme targeting better learning outcomes at basic education level, especially for girls in selected regions and districts of Tanzania. EQUIP-T was led by Cambridge Education and funded by the UK Government.
The objective of the programme was to develop, implement and demonstrate the best approaches to strengthen the quality of education in the seven regions in readiness for national scale-up. We provided technical support to EQUIP -T in organizational development, public financial management, monitoring and evaluation, grant management and results management through outcome mapping. The programme whose implementation started in 2013 was completed in 2018.
