At KPMG Luxembourg, we believe sustainable growth is the only way to build a successful business and have a lasting impact on the world. Our corporate citizenship initiatives are how we live our Purpose – to inspire confidence and empower change.
Our strategy in action
Our communities
At KPMG Luxembourg, we encourage our people to turn purpose into action. Giving back – through time, talent and generosity. Through our volunteering policy, every employee can dedicate up to four working hours per month to charitable causes – or take up to two weeks for long-term community projects. This flexibility empowers our teams to get involved where their support matters most.
Our professionals also share their expertise through pro bono work, using their skills to strengthen organizations and empower individuals. Whether mentoring students, leading workshops, or providing strategic advice to NGOs, our people actively help others grow through knowledge and collaboration.
Generosity runs deep within our culture. Through our Payroll Giving initiative, employees can make monthly contributions to the KPMG Luxembourg Foundation, supporting impactful projects both locally and abroad. We also regularly organize donation drives and fundraising events – from aiding children in refugee centers to donating hygiene products to local charities – reflecting the collective spirit of giving that defines our firm.
To respond swiftly when crises arise, we have implemented a Disaster Relief Guide, ensuring coordinated and effective action in times of need. This includes both financial contributions and in-kind support to humanitarian partners providing aid to those affected by global or local disasters.
Together, these initiatives reflect who we are: a community of professionals driven by purpose and the belief that even small actions can make a lasting difference.
Our planet
Guided by our ESG Committee, we integrate environmental, social, and governance principles into everything we do, from daily operations to long-term strategy. This dedicated team ensures that sustainability remains at the heart of our decisions, helping us move closer to our ambition of carbon neutrality and alignment with global net-zero targets.
Our actions speak through results: a fleet of vehicles that are increasingly electric, expanded charging stations at our premises, energy-efficient offices powered by renewable electricity, and building designs that prioritize biodiversity. Our BREEAM-certified headquarters combines technology and nature – featuring solar panels, sustainable materials, and even a rooftop bee colony that produces our very own KPMG Honey.
Our firm is committed to reducing waste across all our operations with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and efficiency. We take a comprehensive approach that includes minimizing the use of paper and materials. Additionally, we work to reduce food waste through initiatives like food sharing. To reduce the use of single-use plastics, employees receive reusable water bottles, and our canteen offers meals and drinks in returnable containers and cups. Together, these efforts have significantly reduced packaging waste and strengthened our culture of low waste.
Beyond our own walls, we empower others to do the same. Through our ESG advisory and assurance services, we help clients define their sustainability goals, measure impact and turn ambition into meaningful action.
For us, sustainability isn’t a trend – it’s how we build a better future for our clients, our community, and our planet.
