      Andrew Watene is a New Zealand Māori of Tūhoe descent, originally from the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand.

      Andrew has a multifaceted role as Head of KPMG Propagate at KPMG, one of the world's largest professional services firms. He leads a team of industry experienced cross-functional professionals where we provide advice to food, agribusiness, and export-orientated clients nationally and internationally. In addition to this he supports the development and positioning KPMG’s agribusiness strategy with KPMG's Global Head of Agribusiness, Ian Proudfoot. Preceding this he held varying strategic, operational and executive-level roles with New Zealand, Japanese and Irish multi-nationals over two decades in Asia, Africa, the America’s and Europe.

      Our aspiration is to fuel New Zealand's prosperity by accelerating the competitiveness of our food and fibre sector so there is never a boring day, and a lot to keep us motivated with the work we do.
