Community Engagement and Partnerships

Through networks, collaborations and investments, we engage in society and the future.

Dedication to responsible business and community investment

KPMG operates various types of networks and collaborations for the future of business and the labor market. Being a responsible company is central and crucial to us, and we invest a portion of our annual results into the society we operate in. Our engagement spans areas such as sustainability, education and equality. As a knowledge company, education and knowledge building are essential for the engagements we choose to involve in. Our efforts consist of both financial contributions and knowledge sharing, service development and volunteer efforts.

Partnerships and engagements

KPMG is a partner to MentorSverige, a non-profit organization working to help young people become stronger and believe in themselves. Mentor Sverige aims to give more young people positive role models, inspiration, and contacts for the future to help them reach their full potential. Prosperity is one of KPMG Sweden's focus areas within ESG. Through Mentor Sverige, KPMG can positively contribute to society by reaching out to young people, a target group that has always been important to us.

WomenCorporateDirectors (WCD) is the world's largest global network for women in board positions, and the Swedish chapter was launched during Almedalsveckan in 2017. Sweden became the 78th chapter within WCD.

Within the network, we invite and host exclusive seminars and meetings where we, together with leading profiles from the business world, discuss international political trends and critical challenges that today's boards need to handle.

KPMG finances and provides research support to various universities and colleges, including tax law research and development at the Stockholm Centre for Commercial Law (SCCL) at Stockholm University. The support aims to improve and expand tax law scientific research and the ability to disseminate research results to the practical business world.

The talent program Female Tech Engineer is run by the recruitment company CoGig to get more women and non-binary individuals to participate in developing future systems and products in tech. The collaboration creates opportunities for the target group to make contacts and build networks before starting a career in tech, promoting an equal industry. The talent network targets female and non-binary engineering students at the end of their education.

Diversity Charter Sweden is one of the largest networks for issues related to inclusion and diversity. KPMG Sweden is a proud member of Diversity Charter Sweden, and together we stand up for diversity and inclusion, both in the workplace and in society.

The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) is the world's largest tech event, held annually in Las Vegas with thousands of exhibitors and participants from around the world. KPMG sponsors Sweden@CES together with the Embassy of Sweden in Washington DC, Teknikföretagen, Business Sweden, GTI and Electrification Hub. Together, KPMG and Sweden@CES support the Swedish business network in their internationalization journey by arranging networking breakfasts and dinners for Swedish and Nordic companies in Las Vegas. We also offer free tickets and meeting rooms, creating opportunities for business and international contacts with established relations. At the same time, interest from external actors increases through a broader network with many companies instead of individual companies.

Women in M&A is a network committed to promoting equity and inclusivity within the mergers and acquisitions industry. The network offers a platform for women to connect, share insights, and foster professional growth through a variety of social activities, such as networking lunches and mingles. Launched in 2023, the community has rapidly grown to connect over 280 women across 65 organisations throughout Stockholm. KPMG is a proud sponsor, supporting this initiative to empower women and enhance collaboration in the sector.
