      Russell leads KPMG’s Operational Excellence team, who deliver Lean and performance improvement programmes in healthcare.

      His previous experience includes working as a clinician in a specialist orthopaedic centre and subsequently the private sector followed by internal roles overseeing programme managing hospital service improvement work, strategy work and commercial development.

      Key pieces of work Russell has delivered include: lean management and continuous improvement, multiple Quality Governance due diligence reviews, clinical and quality due diligence for the takeover of a specialist orthopaedic hospital, financial strategy development for a major teaching hospital, clinical service reconfiguration modelling  for a PCT and SHA, cost reduction projects.
