Today, KPMG International announces Dan Konigsburg has been appointed Global Head of Public Affairs for KPMG International with effect from 22 January 2024, replacing Stephen Allis who will take planned retirement from the firm at the end of March 2024.
With more than 20 years of experience in dealing with issues surrounding public policy and international corporate governance, Dan will be responsible for coordinating the public policy activities of KPMG International - including engagement across the KPMG network - with key influencers including policy makers, academics, NGOs, multilateral organizations, the Global Public Policy Committee (GPPC) of the large six professional service networks, and other trade and professional bodies.
As Chairman of the OECD’s Business Advisory Committee on Corporate governance, a member of the Board of Governors of the International Corporate Governance Network and as a board member at the US Council for International Business, Dan brings a wealth of experience of both stakeholder engagement and policy development.
Stephen and Dan will work closely on leadership transition until Stephen’s retirement at end of March 2024; Dan will also l continue Stephen’s work supporting KPMG’s regulatory affairs agenda and proactive stakeholder engagement.
