London and Redmond, June 9, 2026 — KPMG and Microsoft today announced an expansion of their global relationship to help clients deploy AI at scale. Under the agreement, KPMG will harness Microsoft Agent 365 to enhance the KPMG Trusted AI framework and help clients manage, monitor and secure AI agents across their organizations. At the same time, KPMG member firms will deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot across the global workforce.

This is the latest move by KPMG to further embed Microsoft technology in their global client service delivery platforms, enabling more consistent and scalable AI across the global organization’s technology solutions.

      What’s new:

      • KPMG will adopt Microsoft Agent 365 to manage how AI agents are deployed, managed, monitored and updated across the KPMG global organization
      • KPMG firms are working with Microsoft to help clients put AI agents into production with governance, security and controls in place
      • Two years after KPMG’s initial deployment of Microsoft 365 Copilot, member firms will expand access to the technology across their global workforce of more than 276,000 professionals – providing a secure, enterprise AI platform that supports multiple models and helps protect KPMG data and intellectual property
Microsoft and KPMG are working together to scale AI across our global network to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients by putting Copilot and Agent 365 in the hands of our people. At the same time, KPMG professionals are working directly with clients to apply these capabilities to help them scale their own AI transformation in a trusted and responsible way. This requires strong foundations in governance, visibility and accountability – it is a key step in embedding responsible AI into the heart of our culture and helping clients do the same.

How KPMG and Microsoft are enhancing client outcomes with AI

KPMG firms are embedding Microsoft technology as the foundation of their global client service delivery platforms across advisory, tax and audit. These tools can help KPMG professionals deliver more consistent, data-driven and trusted outcomes, while also working directly with clients to help them adopt and scale AI within their own organizations.

At the core of this transformation is KPMG Workbench, a foundational platform built on Microsoft Foundry that coordinates multiple AI agents across all client service delivery platforms.

Across audit, AI capabilities will continue to be integrated into KPMG Clara, our global smart audit platform.

This announcement represents a pivotal milestone in our AI-powered, human assured audit transformation. Embedding Microsoft 365 Copilot and Agent 365 enhances real-time analysis, earlier risk identification and delivers deeper insights, while strengthening audit quality, transparency and confidence for clients.
