      Unlocking Government's Technology Future

Unlocking government’s technology future is based on data from KPMG's 2024 global tech report which includes results of a survey of 118 senior government technology executives and decision-makers around the world. It shows that government and public sector organisations are building – and maintaining – change momentum, particularly in key capabilities such as cloud enablement, cyber security, and data and analytics.

Governments and public sector organisations are making good progress on their digital transformation journeys. Now they need to pick up the pace and start delivering the value that citizens expect. This report explains how to help make that happen.

Drawing on findings from KPMG's 2024 Global tech report and global client experience, this report provides public sector leaders with actionable intelligence and practical steps to accelerate and sustain progress in their digital transformation roadmap.

      • Find out how leading governments are delivering sustainable, citizen-centric transformation.
      • Read case studies and client stories that provide practical context and insights.
      • Benchmark your organisation against your peers and colleagues.
      • Share in KPMG’s experience, based on recent global engagements.
      • Get key action items to help you develop your transformation strategy.
Government reform, modernisation and transformation expectations will not be met if analogue thinking and a resistance mindset prevails. Future-fit governments will be technology enabled, data driven and digital delivery oriented. To unlock this potential, an ecosystem of political sponsors and empowered public servants, working in collaboration with trusted external advisers, vendors and providers must align to design and sustainably deliver the capability, solutions and outcomes increasingly demanded by citizens and business interacting with government now and into the future.
