From hype to corporate reality: in 2024, generative artificial intelligence has finally arrived in the German economy. This is shown by our study "Generative AI in the German economy", for which we surveyed 284 decision-makers.
Four out of five respondents stated that their company already has a strategy for generative AI or is currently working on one. A good two thirds have planned proof of concepts for the next twelve months to evaluate the benefits of AI for their company or have already implemented initial use cases. More than half are planning to increase their investments in generative AI - the majority even significantly. The respondents expect the implementation of generative AI in their companies to primarily increase turnover and efficiency as well as have positive effects on the productivity, satisfaction and motivation of their employees. According to the respondents, this applies to all areas of the company.
