More and more organizations are adopting agile ways-of-working principles, frameworks, DevOps structures, processes and technology. As KPMG, we support our clients in designing, implementing and optimizing their (scaled) agile operating models and associated way of working, focusing on making both the run and change organization more optimized agile. Still, we see the trend that organizations, regardless of their agile maturity, continue to opt for temporary change program constructs, especially with cross-product and cross-business unit – and thus large and complex – changes. These (digital) transformations or change programs are occasionally managed based on traditional program and project management methods such as MSP and Prince2, but more and more organizations recognize the power of combining a programmatic approach with agile principles and visualization techniques, such as the Obeya way of working.
