KPMG acted as an exlusive sell-side advisor to Advance Investments a.s. – the owner of SAD Prievidza a.s. („SAD Prievidza“ or the „Company“) - in a disposal process of the shareholding in the Company to a Slovak subsidiary of French mobility group Transdev.

SAD Prievidza a.s.
SAD Prievidza a.s. is a regional urban and suburban bus transportation operator primary covering the Trenčín region. SAD Prievidza operates a fleet of 214 buses and has transported almost 7 million passengers in 2021. The majority shareholding in SAD Prievidza was owned by Advance Investments a.s. for 20 years.
Transdev Slovakia a.s.
Transdev Slovakia a.s. is a Slovak subsidiary of Transdev Group, one of the largest public transportation companies servicing passangers in 18 countries across 5 continents. The group globally operates a fleet of more than 42,000 vehicles and generates annual revenues of EUR 7bn. In Slovakia Transdev provides public transportation services in the city of Nitra and will start transporting passengers in city of Trencin starting in September 2022.
The acquisition will allow Transdev to increase its presence in Slovakia and become one of the leading players on the Slovak public transportation market.
KPMG Role
KPMG Deal Advisory acted as a financial advisor to the shareholders of SAD Prievidza in a sale of 100% stake in the Company. KPMG provided full scope deal advisory services from deal origination, through deal execution up until a successful closing of the transaction in August 2022. In parallel with Deal Advisory services, KPMG provided legal and tax advisory to the shareholders in all aspects required by the deal.
