Melissa is Chair of the Board of KPMG in the UK and Switzerland, leading the provision of stewardship for the group and holding the executive team accountable to deliver against our strategy.
She has extensive global business experience, most notably as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Tax and Acting Group Treasurer at GSK plc from 2014-2017. As part of KPMG’s Global Tax and Legal Management team, Melissa continues to advise our largest corporate clients globally on their complex tax affairs. She has also pioneered T-Suite, a ground-breaking client-facing leadership development programme for the tax leaders of the future.
Melissa became the youngest female equity partner in KPMG’s history when she made Partner in 2008. She served as Vice Chair and the Senior Elected Member of the KPMG UK Board from 2019 to 2024 and led the most recent CEO succession and appointment process. She also chaired the People Committee and was a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Passionate about education and the difference it can make to life outcomes, she serves on the Board of United Learning, a group of leading UK academies and independent schools who aim to provide excellent education to children and young people across the country.
