Aruni joined KPMG in 2007 and has spent his entire time at KPMG with the Indirect Tax department, based, firstly in Cambridge and since 2009, in London.
Over the years he has worked with clients from a number of different sectors and has therefore developed a broad Indirect Tax technical base. He currently leads Retail within Indirect Tax, and has worked with several multinational retailers, e-tailers, e-commerce platforms, marketplaces and suppliers to such businesses.
He has also advised fast paced players within the wider Consumer Markets ‘eco-system’ such as e-storefront builders, fulfilment companies, voucher and loyalty programme operators, VAT retail export scheme providers, custom printing businesses and supplier finance engines.
Aruni has advised on Indirect Tax aspects of all parts of his clients’ business cycle including new business set up, new market entry, launching new products in existing markets, cash and working capital enhancement projects, strengthening tax control frameworks, helping automate manual tax processes, managing disputes with tax authorities, acquisitions, business reorganisations and corporate exit.
