Kami is a Dispute Advisory Partner at KPMG in the UK. He advises and acts as an expert on accounting, valuation, and financial issues in commercial, contractual, professional negligence or transaction-related disputes across various dispute resolution forums, including litigation and arbitration. Kami has also led several expert determinations (in advisory or determination capacity), in the context of post-M&A matters and partnership disputes. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Kami specialises in forensic accounting and disputes, with a particular focus on post-M&A disputes.
Kami has a particular focus on providing accounting advice or evidence in the context of:
- Pre-deal advice on the accounting aspects of the Sales and Purchase Agreements.
- Price adjustment disputes (e.g., completion accounts);
- Deferred or contingent considerations (e.g., earn-outs);
- Expert determinations (in both advisory and determination capacity) in M&A, shareholder, or partnership related disputes; and
- Breach of warranty or indemnity claims, including W&I insurance claims.
Kami has also led investigations into allegations of fraudulent accounting or financial reporting (e.g. financial misstatements), asset misappropriations, and illegal activities.
