Sean Bloodwell is the Head of KPMG's Global Compliance Management Services. He has more than 20 years of experience with tax compliance and consulting, merger and acquisition planning, tax controversy work, and state tax planning and compliance. He has extensive experience serving large multinational corporations in the preparation and review of domestic and international income tax provisions including with respect to their financial statement audit. He has led a team of KPMG Tax partners and managers in developing and implementing a standardized process for preparing income tax provisions for clients that involved the development of a software platform to improve quality and efficiency. Sean is also a pioneer in the deployment of KPMG’s Lean Six Sigma approach to process improvement helping clients define and bridge the gap between their current and future ideal state for tax and accounting processes impacting the entire compliance lifecycle from information gathering to compliance filing and controversy work. Sean’s specialty is helping clients bridge the gap between the current and ideal future state with practical, time and cost saving ways to automate and standardize processes that result in better quality compliance deliverables with less effort.
