James is partner in charge for KPMG Futures and National Leader KPMG Innovate, KPMG Australia. James and his team work at the intersection of signals of change across society, technology, environment, economics and politics to identify and understand emerging trends and their potential to reshape and reimagine our world. James uses these signals to work at the CEO and Board level to identify opportunities for technological innovation and disruption and to explore new business model hypotheses that drive profitable business growth with the aim of creating sustainable value for all stakeholders.
James leads KPMG Australia’s investment into future technologies which includes a focus on quantum technologies, AI and robotics, web 3.0 technologies and venture partnerships. He has worked across a range of public and private clients in the Financial Services, Telecommunications, Technology, Energy and Natural Resources, and Government sectors.
James is also a member of the advisory board for the Human Technology institute at UTS and strategy board member of the ARC funded Centre for Information Resilience at UQ.
James has a Bachelor of Arts / Science (1st Class Honours in Philosophy and Double Major in Psychology) from the Australian National University, Canberra.
