Nick joined KPMG in 2014, having spent over 15 years in large private practice law firms, latterly as as a Private Equity and M&A partner at DLA Piper. Nick was the head of KPMG Law in the UK for 8 years (April 2015 to April 2023). With a strong focus on clients, colleagues and culture, the UK Law business has and continues to enjoy a sustained and transformational period of success, having experienced high double digit percentage growth, year on year, under Nick’s leadership.

Nick’s current role, as the KPMG Law Head of Global Solutions, brings together his legal expertise and leadership experience to focus on driving the growth of KPMG Law’s global client solutions. These are the aspects of the KPMG Law offering which harness cross-border legal talent, utilise platform technology and leverage our global market alliances for the benefit of our clients. Nick is also part of the KPMG Law Global executive committee.

Nick co-leads KPMG Law’s General Counsel programme, Legal Reimagined, now one of the UK’s leading and most active in person and digital in-house counsel communities. Legal Reimagined, since its inception, has focused on bringing fresh perspectives, facilitating peer to peer insights and collaboration, and aims to create a supportive and collegiate environment for senior in-house legal professionals.

Nick has extensive experience supporting clients with complex international business reorganisations, UK and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity, equity incentives and joint ventures, working with large corporates, private enterprises, management teams, financial and private equity institutions and high net worth clients, across a range of sectors.
