The opportunity: A way to the finish line
Happilo International Private Limited is a health food brand headquartered in Bengaluru, India. Founded in 2016, Happilo sells snack foods in the form of dry fruits, nuts, berries, seeds, peanuts, and makhana through ecommerce, quick commerce and offline channels.
Happilo engaged KPMG in India to help implement SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition – “a ready-to-run cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) that delivers the latest industry best practices and continuous innovation.”
Happilo had begun a digital transformation, integrating SAP Cloud ERP into the business. With five years of growth in mind, they had the right technology and the right platform. But they were experiencing some challenges with the technical implementation.
Recognizing a business need to manage and accelerate the SAP implementation, Happilo engaged KPMG in India as an implementation advisor to: (i) immediately stabilize the system; (ii) help streamline business processes for greater efficiencies, and (iii) provide a deeper understanding on how best to leverage and optimize SAP technology with appropriate training and knowledge transfer.
The KPMG response: Regaining momentum – and confidence
Before initiating any implementation activities, KPMG in India set about building the relationship and earning trust by leaning in and listening, to understand and validate all the ongoing issues and pain points, which included aspects of technology, communication and product understanding. One-to-one meetings with stakeholders ensured that all voices were heard.
KPMG in India documented and prioritized the issues, in agreement with the Happilo project team, then set about solving them – line item by line item. As soon as an issue got settled, the KPMG team moved on to the next issue without delay. Resolutions and improvements were applied swiftly and professionally. KPMG in India’s client-first focus helped Happilo regain confidence in their important transformation project.
Happilo’s project steering committee met every quarter. By the time of the second quarterly meeting after engaging KPMG professionals, Happilo had noticed and appreciated the results so far. They could feel that the KPMG team was dedicated to client satisfaction.
The client engaged KPMG in India for one year initially, with a top priority of stabilizing the system. By listening to the client intently and empathetically, the KPMG team validated concerns, prioritized issues, and resolved each one quickly and appropriately.
KPMG in India’s genuine low self-interest approach earned trust with the client promptly, cleared the way for a successful implementation, and set the foundation for an ongoing relationship that would include additional implementation projects such as a SAP EWM Implementation and Amazon Integration.
The outcome: An ongoing relationship
Happilo had purchased a leading SAP product but did not have the proper training and full understanding to maximize its inherent and valuable functionality. As a result, they lost momentum and feared impacting customer relations.
The KPMG in India team designed customized training and undertook knowledge transfer to help Happilo accelerate their operations and achieve their business goals.
Having demonstrated SAP S/4HANA Cloud knowledge and expertise, in combination with a client-first approach and a well-designed implementation strategy, Happilo engaged KPMG in India further to assist with the implementation of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), a quality management system, and integration with peripheral systems for continued business efficiency.
The relationship was founded on a high dedication to problem-solving and collaboration which made KPMG in India the clear choice to continue to support Happilo in their multi-year transformation program.
