The Infrastructure Monitor 2025 analyzes how private individuals and companies rate the infrastructure in Germany - from energy and transport to digital networking. The study highlights perceptions of the current situation and specific areas for action. The results are intended to provide orientation for the sustainable design of infrastructure in Germany.

Assessments of the German infrastructure in 2025 are mixed: While 84% of the companies surveyed rate the condition and functionality of the infrastructure as positive, only 45% of private individuals share this view.

The majority of companies consider the infrastructure to be "sufficiently functional", as it is only one difficulty among many in view of complex framework conditions such as geopolitical challenges, supply insecurity and competitive pressure. In contrast, private individuals rate shortcomings such as traffic jams, dead spots and delayed trains much more negatively and urgently based on their direct and daily experience.
