Christian Gyntelberg is a Director at KPMG Denmark with over 30 years of experience in the Shipping and Logistics industry. He has deep knowledge of the end-to-end value chain and has worked internationally with leading companies such as Maersk and DHL.
Most recently, he completed a four-year assignment with the Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA) in Amsterdam, where he worked as Program Director, responsible for Digital Trade and Asset Productivity. In this role, he led the creation of open-source interoperability standards for the largest container shipping lines globally. Christian has great experience in leveraging advanced IT solutions, including quantum-inspired algorithms, to optimize networks, routes and streamline supply chains for greater resilience.
Key achievements include establishing interoperability standards for cargo visibility and asset productivity in container shipping, which simplified data exchange between shipping lines and customer. He also facilitated the Digital Trade transition for DCSA members and the FIT Alliance, streamlining shipping documentation processes that generated efficiency gains for shipping lines and customers. Additionally, Christian contributed to creating a neutral schedule hub for container shipping lines, enhancing transparency, and reducing costs.
