Jacob Lie is partner in KPMG Acor Tax’s Corporate Tax Services practice. Jacob has more than 25 years of experience providing financial services tax advisory to banks and insurance companies as well as deal tax advisory, including assistance with tax due diligence and structuring to companies and multinationals in connection with several M&A tax projects.
Before joining KPMG Acor Tax, Jacob worked with another Big Four company as an accountant.
Jacob has extensive experience in M&A tax projects, due diligence, and structuring, having worked on over 100 M&A transactions for pension funds, private equity funds, and other corporate transactions. He advises on bank and pension matters, including pension investment return taxation and taxation related to acquisitions of loan portfolios. His expertise extends to international tax structuring, finance cost deductions, tax strategy and governance, real property tax matters, and compliance, including tax returns and joint taxation in corporate taxation.
