      Michael Sten Larsen is a Partner with more than 30 years of experience, including 25 years at partner level. He is an accredited IFRS Reviewing Partner and leads KPMG’s Nordic Department for Professional Practice (NDPP), which serves as the audit and accounting technical backbone of the firm. With access to both domestic and international KPMG resources, he assists clients with complex audit, accounting, and reporting issues.

      Michael holds an MSc in Business Economics and Auditing and is a State Authorised Public Accountant. He is also an Approved Sustainability Auditor.

      As one of the 16 members of KPMG’s global IFRS panel, Michael contributes to the development of international accounting standards and best practices. He actively participates in several of KPMG’s international Topic Teams, focusing on consolidation, business combinations, pension obligations, and share-based remuneration. Additionally, he has been a longstanding member of KPMG’s European networks for the ICE and ESS sectors, where he plays a key role in knowledge-sharing and thought leadership.

      Michael has extensive experience working with international topic teams and engaging in European networks, ensuring seamless collaboration across borders. His leadership in KPMG’s Nordic DPP further strengthens the firm’s technical expertise in audit and accounting.

      Beyond his role at KPMG, Michael serves as both an internal and external lecturer.
