Anders Stensgaard is a Partner and Head of KPMG's Infrastructure, Government & Healthcare practice. He has more than 25 years of experience in optimizing the public sector - both as a civil servant and as an external consultant and advisor.

During his consulting career, Anders has been responsible for a wide range of assignments across both state authorities as well as municipalities and regions, including budget and policy analyses, organizational adjustments, process mapping and optimization, digitalization, governance, evaluation, etc. As a trusted strategic advisor in the public sector, Anders is often particularly sought after in projects with complex stakeholder landscapes and where an in-depth knowledge of framework conditions and decision-making processes in a politically driven reality is critical.

In addition to his primary focus on public sector clients, Anders has also worked for private clients in the energy and financial sectors, focusing on strategic consulting, efficiency and cost reductions, corporate trading and business design.

Anders has previously been employed at the Ministry of Finance, where he has held various positions and handled key tasks related to the preparation of the Finance Act, conducting cross-cutting budget analyses, editing the annual budget report, developing government administration policy, etc. This has given him a broad overview and understanding of the public sector, which he draws on in his daily work as an external advisor.
