Birgitte Tandrup is partner in KPMG Acor Tax’s Corporate Tax Services practice. Birgitte has more than 20 years of experience advising financial institutions on national and international corporate tax issues with special focus on tax structuring and investments and withholding taxes. This includes investment due diligences within the alternative investments and with a strong focus on responsible tax and also investor tax reporting.
Birgitte also provides advice on implementation and compliance related to special compliance obligations in the financial sector. These areas include the FATCA/Common Reporting Standard rules and the US Qualified Intermediary. Birgitte advises on analysis of obligations and implementation of standard operational procedures in this field based on her extensive experience within this field from her time with Danske Bank, during which she participated in working groups in the European Banking Federation and the Danish Bankers’ Association.
In addition to advising on tax issues in the financial sector, Birgitte is engaged in tax advice related to share-based incentive schemes and is engaged in our global KPMG reward network. Within this area Birgitte assists a broad range of clients from newly started and privately owned businesses to private equity funds and listed companies with design, implementation and operation of such schemes covering both all employee schemes and management incentive plans.
Furthermore, Birgitte is the Danish contact for the EU Tax Centre for KPMG and as such involved with Fokus Bank claims and other withholding tax issues and EU-based tax legislation including DAC6.
