Career in Audit & Assurance

As a consultant within Accounting Advisory Services (AAS), you will provide advice on accounting issues for a range of entities, from small companies, associations, and foundations to large companies and IFRS groups. For example, you will assist our clients with regulatory transitions, management of accounting-related risk, and external and internal training. We are looking for candidates with a university degree in accounting. Work experience in accounting or auditing linked to IFRS or Swedish regulations is advantageous.

As a consultant within Assurance, you will work on assignments in both auditing and consulting, linked to some of Sweden's most well-known companies and organizations. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about companies' responsibilities and needs for internal governance and control, quality assurance of non-financial information, and the trust risks and current challenges our clients face. As part of our team, you will work cross-departmentally, with access to some of Sweden's sharpest specialists. You will be part of a team where competence, quality, and shared responsibility are the cornerstones. We are looking for candidates with an academic degree, preferably in business administration with a focus on accounting, auditing, management, urban science, engineering, or environmental science.

In Corporate Audit, you primarily work with auditing large, often listed companies. As an Audit Associate, you will be part of several teams with qualified employees from various business areas within KPMG. The teams you work with are tailored to meet the specific requests and expectations of our clients. We are looking for candidates with an academic degree in accounting, auditing, or an equivalent field.

Within Enterprise Audit, you will work with auditing owner-managed start-ups and growth companies. For many leading a start-ups and growth companies, auditing is primarily about building trust. A qualified external audit confirms that the financial information provided by the company can be trusted, guiding these companies on their growth journey. We are looking for candidates with an academic degree in accounting, auditing, or an equivalent field.

As an Audit Associate in Financial Services, you will work with a wide range of teams comprising qualified professionals from across KPMG, primarily with specialists in auditing and consulting in the financial sector. We are looking for candidates with an academic degree in accounting, auditing, or an equivalent field. An interest in finance is desirable, and relevant experience is advantageous.

In the GAS-team, you will work on engagements across all parts of municipal and regional operations. We are a well-established part of KPMG and offer a broad service portfolio to our clients. In Stockholm, our team consists of auditors and advisers at all levels, and through cooperation with other departments, both nationally and internationally, we are one of the market leaders in our niche market. We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in society and an academic education in social sciences, political science, or economics.

Information Risk Management (IRM) is a fast-growing area within KPMG, full of opportunities for candidates looking to start their career in IT audit and analytics. We work within three main areas:

• IT Audit as part of external and internal audit
• IT Assurance assignments on cybersecurity, internal audit, ISO 2700, project assurance, process mining, and third-party assurance via ISAE reporting
• Data analytics as part of the audit approach or as assurance over our clients' IT environments

We welcome candidates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in informatics, information security, data science, economics, or a related field. You should be eager to work with financial data, IT risk assessments, and data analytics.
