    A Global Real Estate Legal Team

    • KPMG Law has around 370 real estate lawyers covering 84 jurisdictions globally and specifically in Europe, including coverage in the UK, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungry, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland.

    • We often work closely with our specialist real estate deal advisory, tax, accounting, corporate finance and debt KPMG colleagues to deliver a seamless multi-disciplinary service to clients.

    UK Real Estate Legal Team

    • We have ambitious expansion plans for the team with additional hires at all experience levels into real estate, including property finance, taking place in 2025.

    • In working with our legal technology & innovation team as well as legal managed services team we are developing products and solutions to drive efficiencies in the delivery of our legal services.

    Our Services

    • Acquisitions & disposals (direct asset or indirect corporate acquisition).
    • Strategic legal advice relating to development land acquisitions.
    • Forward purchase, forward funding, promote and joint venture real estate/construction arrangements.
    • Debt arrangements relating to development land or stabilised real estate assets.
    • Corporate occupier work – commercial leases, consents and refurbishment/fit-out projects.
    • EV, wind and solar roll-out related projects.
    • Real estate and infrastructure building contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties and other ancillary documents, including bonds and parent company guarantees.

    The Future

    • We have ambitious expansion plans for the KPMG Law UK real estate legal services team with additional hires at all experience levels into real estate, including specialisms of construction and property finance taking place in early 2024.
    • In working with our legal technology & innovation team we will be developing technology to drive efficiencies in the delivery of our legal services.
