Risk Consulting - Financial Services
Our Risk Consulting team provides audit and advisory services to insurance companies and banks.
We advise clients on a broad range of topics on their CRO’s agenda, focusing on modelling and management of financial risks such as market, credit or liquidity risk, as well as non-financial risks such as operational risk, thus supporting their risk function transformation journey.
In addition, the team performs audit engagements analyzing regulatory requirements (Basel/FINMA, etc.) and assessing compliance in the areas of risk measurement, risk management and reporting, as well as capital adequacy.
Cyber & Digital Risk - Consulting
The increasing dependence on technology for core business processes (IT enabled transformation) renders information confidentiality, integrity and availability essential. It puts forth the need for effective and risk-based information security planning. KPMG's technology consultants assist clients in conducting risk assessments by identifying technology threats and vulnerabilities, evaluating business impact (BIA) as well as compliance exceptions.

Forensic - Consulting
White-collar crimes can significantly affect any company. KPMG Forensic helps clients prevent, discover and handle cases of misconduct with the aim to mitigate risk and minimize damages. As part of the prevention, identification and handling of malpractice, particularly in the case of economic crimes such as fraud, money laundering, corruption or commercial espionage, our broad-based KPMG Forensic team helps to minimize risk and limit the damage. Assurance Technology Group - Audit

Our Assurance Technology Group focuses in particular on assurance and advisory services in the fields of business processes and information technology. We combine our expertise in modern technology and auditing with our profound understanding of the risks, controls and opportunities that technology can bring to deliver innovative solutions to our national and international clients.
We advise clients in various areas ranging from optimizing their business processes by using automated controls and/or data and analytics techniques to creating a stronger, more efficient control environment through leveraging technologies. Providing advice on well-governed artificial intelligence solutions is also becoming more prominent.
As a Digital Auditor, we use modern technology such as data analytics, robotics and artificial intelligence to deliver high-quality, valuable and insightful audits and advisory projects. People working in this field are part of our Assurance Technology Group. They are passionate about innovation and how it impacts companies, processes and controls – in essence, how technology is changing the way we work. They apply their data-driven mindsets to continuously deliver the most relevant audits and keep educating themselves in this field.
This means identifying and implementing new technologies, harnessing large data sets, interpreting these results and assessing their implications for the audit, as well as the resulting optimization potential for our clients.

IT Audit - Financial Services
Our IT Audit team provides technology risk assurance in financial statement and regulatory audits, IT attestation engagements (e.g., ISAE 3402/3000) and emerging technology risk services. In addition, the team supports financial organizations with the design and implementation of the internal technology control framework. Our team helps to manage technology risks to optimize operating performance and achieve greater governance and IT assurance over clients’ controls and infrastructure.

Tax Technology - Tax
Tax Technology solutions help streamline processes, strengthen controls and provide a transparent way to effectively manage complex tax requirements.
Our experienced and international team in Zurich produces high-quality tax reports with MTR (Multishore Tax Reporting). The tax reports are used by clients for their tax returns in their country of residence. We serve some of the largest global private banks, cantonal banks as well as online banks by constantly offering new, efficient ways to support their clients’ needs.
Besides the MTR team, we also offer careers for candidates with a tech background in our Indirect Tax, Global Transfer Pricing Services, Global Mobility Services and Tax Transformation teams.

Our Actuarial practice works with other KPMG technical and sector specialists to help insurance clients prepare for the future with a focus on automation and data science tools and techniques.
The Actuary team shows insurance companies how they can optimize their business models so that they remain competitive in a complex market.
