Manish is currently Partner & Head – Energy and Infrastructure M&A, and Special Situations Group at KPMG in India. He has over 23 years of transaction and consulting experience in the Infrastructure space; working across many geographies. He has worked closely with some of the largest global infrastructure players and government sector enterprises. Manish is part of Senior Leadership Team at KPMG and helped set up the Infrastructure Financing, M&A and Special Situations practice.
Prior to joining KPMG, Manish was Director at CRISIL Infrastructure Advisory, where he has led multiple reforms, policy advisory, strategic advisory related engagements with different stakeholders. Manish started his career with one of the largest Development Financial Institution (DFI) of that time namely, Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) being part of the project finance vertical.
His areas of expertise include policy formulation, regulatory reforms, corporate and project finance, M&A advisory, valuation, divestments, deal negotiations, restructuring, and PPPs.
Over the years, Manish has worked with developers, policy makers, government institutions, strategic investors, and multilateral agencies including some of the largest global Private Equity houses, Pension and Sovereign funds, Strategic Utilities, large developers in India, and overseas. As part of his current role, Manish has been working with number of Special Situations Funds, Credit Funds, and Investors as they evaluate opportunities pursuant to far reaching structural reforms, and policy changes initiated under the new regime.
He has worked on transactions in countries like Sri Lanka, UK, Middle East, Latin America, Singapore and Europe. He actively participates in Industry forums and shares perspective on key sector issues in the media. Manish is member of the National Infrastructure and PPP Committee of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).
