October 2024 – KPMG in India has appointed Hemant Jhajhria as Partner and Head of Consulting, overseeing Business, Technology and Risk Consulting practices. Based in the Mumbai office, Hemant will also form part of the India Leadership Team (ILT) at KPMG in India and will lead the firm's efforts in integrating the vast suite of services it offers to create comprehensive solutions to clients’ needs.
Jhajhria brings over 24 years of extensive experience in strategy consulting and business management. His expertise includes advising financial services clients, large conglomerates, digital/ fintech start-ups, private equity/ venture capital clients, on growth strategies, business transformation, technology & digital strategy, new platform set-up and working on cost/ op-model optimizations in India and US markets.
Prior to joining KPMG in India, Jhajhria was with BCG as a Managing Director & Partner. His ability to stitch together multi-year transformation engagements across operations, risk, technology and analytics were instrumental in building high functioning teams and generating large deals with significant annuity revenues. He has also been an early adopter and proponent of gen AI, driving new cutting-edge propositions for clients across Asia. In addition, he was also the Marketing Chair for BCG India and was instrumental in shifting the market narrative for the firm. Jhajhria started his career as a practitioner with over a decade-long stint with Citigroup where he held multiple leadership roles and managed large P&Ls across consumer bank, wealth management, lending and digital businesses.
