Girish has spent more than twenty years in the commercial aviation sector, starting with Jet Airways in 2001. Prior to that, he spent around five years in the advertising and marketing industry. Having worked for nine long years in Jet Airways, rising from Brand Manager to Sr. General Manager – International Projects, Girish moved on to manage the Airport business as AVP, Head of Aero Business at BIAL, when airport privatisation began in the country. He worked with ZRH Airport group in setting up long-term aero marketing and route development strategy at Bangalore International Airport. His last industry assignment was as Chief Commercial Officer for Go Air. Girish left the industry to solve a genuine problem faced by enterprise customers through a start-up idea as founder for TravelSpends, a travel analytics company. During that phase he also continued to offer active independent aviation/business consulting specialising in commercial strategy for the Government, consulting brands, airlines, and airports. Girish is currently a Partner for Mobility and Logistics at KPMG. He leads the global Airports practice and serves as the National Head of the Aviation sector in India.
